The eminent photographer Ken Garrett worked with us at the site for several days in 2003. He published some of his photographs in the article witten by Andrew Lawler in the 2008 summer issue of Archaeology. He has also most generously allowed us to use his photographs for the large posters we have produced for an exhibit commissioned by the American Embassy in Damascus for the American Cultural Center there, and for several cultural centers in some smaller Syrian cities. One of his "lightboxes" is dedicated to Urkesh. With 79 superb images, this "lightbox" will offer you a wondrous visual promenade... |
